About S4 Solutions

Pricing an outcome up front requires having seen the problem before. Here's the background that makes that possible.

Twenty-five years of the same problems

Quoting a fixed price on a problem is an act of pattern recognition. You are betting that you have seen enough versions of this before to know roughly what it takes — and agreeing that if you're wrong, that's your problem rather than the client's.

Twenty-five years across enterprise consulting and financial technology is what that bet is built on. The specifics change constantly. The problems barely change at all: a process that worked at twenty-five people breaking at seventy-five; three systems holding three versions of the same customer; a manual reconciliation nobody has questioned in six years; a compliance control that exists in a document and nowhere else; a platform bought at full price and used at a fraction of it. Different industries, different software, the same five or six shapes.

Seeing the same shapes for twenty-five years is what makes it possible to say what a fix costs before starting it, and to be specific about which parts of the result we'd stake our own fee on. It is not a promise that we've seen your exact situation. It's the reason we can tell you, in the first conversation, which of your problems is worth money and which one you should leave alone.

Our story

S4 Solutions brings enterprise technology leadership — Slalom, Salesforce, Fortune 500 advisory — directly to small and growing businesses. Same architectural discipline, same rigor about what a piece of work will actually cost, without the six-figure retainer or the ninety-day ramp.

Most growing businesses face the same bad choice: hire a generalist who can keep the lights on, or pay enterprise consulting rates for advice built for a company ten times their size. S4 Solutions exists in that gap.

S4 Solutions was founded by Luke Simpson, whose career spans senior leadership at Slalom, one of the largest technology consulting firms in the country, and Salesforce, where he helped organizations get real use out of the platforms they had already bought. He previously led Fortimize's technology practice, working in solution architecture, CRM and business development across financial services, retail and manufacturing.

Based in Atlanta, built to grow alongside its clients.

How we work

Every engagement carries a metric, a baseline, and a target — in writing, before the work starts. The mechanism is on How We Price; the method that produces it is on How We Work.

What you can expect from us

Every claim carries a number

Estimates come with a metric, a baseline, and the system the number is read from. If we can't name all three, we won't make the claim.

Clarity over complexity

We cut through jargon and vendor hype and give you advice you can act on this quarter.

We show our work

Estimates come with the assumptions printed next to them. If you disagree with an assumption, you can see exactly which number it moves.

Vendor-agnostic

Our recommendations serve your interests, not a partner ecosystem. We take no vendor commissions.

Partnership mindset

We work alongside your team and build capability, not dependency. The goal is that you need us less over time, not more.

Not sure where to start?

A 30-minute conversation is usually enough to identify the biggest problem worth solving — and whether we're the right people to solve it.
